When we arrive at a fork in the road, we don’t always realize it in the moment because we are often in the midst of a life crisis where we become painfully conscious of what we don’t want (or what we don’t want anymore).  All transformation begins with a change in beliefs.

Your belief system about yourself sets you up for what you will experience. When you know your worth and the value you bring to the world, you effortlessly begin to blossom and receive recognition and support for your unique contribution.

Bad habits and reactive patterns start out as coping mechanisms for survival. It is critical to replace them with new mental habits, and establish new, healthy, supportive ones. Cultivating a new relationship with yourself is the best way to change behaviours that are keeping you stuck in ways of thinking and behaving that no longer serve you.

Even though some changes are generally desired, most of us fear change. Sometimes there is a gap between what we believe is possible and our reality. Too many people abandon their dreams and want to convince themselves that it is best to play small and safe. We can ask ourselves – «What do I really want? – What can I do to change?»

Choosing to change is an act of courage and free choice, but sometimes we find ourselves rapidly in the same old patterns and habits.

The only way we can change our lives is to make a conscious decision. It is in those moments of decision that you construct your future.

Awake Coaching is a total system of body, mind, heart healing and integration to awaken, transform and create the life you only dared dream was possible.

This process of awakening takes you towards profound change and inspired actions to create what you desire the most in your life.

The first step in creating change is awareness. You cannot change something that you are unaware of, or that you have a false perception of – or about which limiting beliefs are keeping you from seeing clearly. Sometimes there can be much resistance to simply seeing things as they are. My approach is to help people understand what they want, why they want it, and then assist them in creating actions to close the gap from where they are to where they want to be. This requires boldly seeing things as they are, with self compassion and non judgement, including limiting beliefs about yourself, life and others that keep you from your greatest potential.

We have been programmed in our culture to believe that emotions are something outside of our control. Our beliefs are intimately related to our emotions and the unconscious mind is expressed in our body by all manner of chronic pains, conditions and illness. Stress is a form of suffering that occurs when we accept the self-defeating belief that we have no control over our life. It occurs in two ways :

  • wanting things to be different than the way they are, because they don’t match our model of the world;
  • believing with absolute certainty that you are powerless to change it.

The Awake Coaching Program empowers you to begin a process of deep self-inquiry that will allow you to deeply consider your needs, choices, beliefs and desires. You will learn to accept the things that you cannot change, to activate the courage to change what is in your power to change, and to attune to your inner wisdom that knows the difference.

While you cannot change the things that happen to you, you can control your attitude toward what happens to you. By understanding your needs and motivations, you can go from frustration and pain to fulfillment and contribution. This process opens you up to new ways of seeing and experiencing your life. Rather than orienting yourself in a predetermined direction, you are invited to explore new options. New and expanded possibilities appear that were not previously in your field of vision, or not available according to your belief structure.

Entering into coaching with me is similar to entering a training program where you will learn to:

  • put into practice the best mindfulness resources to relax the body, calm the mind and stabilize the emotions,
  • understand your needs and clarify your desires,
  • become engaged in a process of awakening,
  • exercise your power to choose mindfully and intentionally,
  • practice and reap the benefits of the integration of body-mind,
  • see in your relationships and the world the reflection of your own transformation,
  • begin to manifest what you desire most in your life.

What happens in a Coaching Session?

I coach “in the moment” so everything that we do in a session is directly related to you and what you desire in your life. I generally will start a session with a Centering exercise that allows you to become aware of what is happening in your body, mind and emotions, as you set an intention for your session.

In Awake Coaching, we don’t just talk. You will explore and experience mindfulness tools, techniques and resources and be helped to create your own mindfulness practice in the period between our sessions. During a session, I will ask quite a few questions, but we will also do certain exercises such as guided meditations and processes that I will show you how to apply in your daily life.

My intention as your coach is to help you become mindful of where you are today to know where you want to be and how you are going to get there. While it seems simple to create a vision of what you want, identify the steps and take action to fulfill that vision, there can be roadblocks to the experience of accomplishing the things you want in life. Mindfulness is about developing skills that allow our body, minds and emotions to support that vision and not undermine it.

Fulfillment is not just about celebrating, appreciating and enjoying your life. It’s about having meaning.

We will create action steps together to move towards your desires, to identify and dissolve those beliefs that are holding you back or creating symptoms that may be out of your field of awareness, including behaviors and actions that are blocking you or augmenting your stress.

How does on-line coaching work?

Coaching by skype is not that different than a coaching session where we are both physically present in the same room.

At the scheduled time, you will call your coach by phone or Skype.

Coaching is a partnership between you and I and this process requires an engagement on your part in terms of your intention to set yourself in motion, and in terms of the energy that you are going to invest in this movement in your life.

As much as possible, we will fix a regular time for our sessions, while remaining flexible in order to accommodate your needs whether it be in your professional or family life. Since our sessions are by phone or by skype, with a bit of coordination, you can do a session from almost anywhere!

To support your process and accompany you in the shifts and changes that will arrive, I strongly recommend that you make time between our sessions for a certain number of mindfulnesss-based exercises. These practices and exercises can vary from week to week but the manner and frequency with which you use them depends on you. All of the resources that you will receive are included in the coaching fee.

As your personal coach I will help you transform your life. I start by supporting you to become personally empowered and to make the necessary changes, but it is ultimately up to you. The more attention you put on your personal growth, the more your outer circumstances will change in direct proportion.

Elaine Rudnicki is a specialist in mindfulness-based mind-body therapies. She is a certified Hypnotherapist and Life Coach. Certified in Rapid Transformational Therapy, certified as a Strategic Intervention Coach, as well as a certified Law of Attraction Coach, a certified advanced Yoga Therapist, a qualified teacher of MBSR (Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction), Yoga and Meditation. Elaine holds degrees from York University in Toronto and the University of Paris-Dauphine in France. She has had an eclectic career in many walks of life from being a professional contemporary dancer to cultural attache with the Canadian Embassy in Paris and international events officer with the United Nations in Geneva. Canadian born, Elaine’s mother tongue is English, and she has lived in France for over 25 years. From 2005 to 2012 she had a private therapy practice and her own yoga studio in Paris. How does Coaching with Elaine work ?
Each session is around 90 minutes in person, on the phone or by skype. 

How many sessions do I need?
It depends on you. I believe in working deeply, quickly and effectively where possible. I recommend in the beginning to start with a package of several sessions, with approximately 3 sessions per month. This way you can actually see the changes manifest during your coaching programme. After that, many clients will sign up for a second package or will just call me when they need clarity about a situation in their life.

Who are your clients?
My clients are all people who are interested in creating life change and who are already awakened to the value of mindfulness. Some of my clients are people who are suffering from past or current experiences and want to find a way out. Some of my clients are stuck in their relationship or career path and cannot figure out why or what to do about it. Some of my clients are ill and want to participate actively in their healing. Some of my clients are already living the life of their dreams and are seeking to take it to the next level. Most clients want to understand how to feel more at ease, more vitalised and more motivated to create a momentum of change in every area of their lives.
